Only Oilcloths – Terms & Conditions

About our Oilcloths

Our luxury oilcloth tablecloths have been made to the highest standard using only the best quality cotton fabrics & plastic coatings sourced mainly from the UK. Most spillages are simply wiped from the surface using a damp cloth. Spillages should not be left unwiped for too long, as there are certain items which will stain if left in contact with the surface. These include tomato-based sauces (curry, bolognese etc), nail/shoe polishes & ink.

While the oilcloth surface is a wipeable and waterproof finish, the underside of our oilcloths is made from a luxury woven cotton, and as such should be kept dry and clean.

Only Oilcloths only use premium quality cotton fabrics (sourced mainly from the UK), and all of these cotton fabrics are coated in the UK using the highest quality child safe oilcloth finish.

All oilcloths are approximately 132cms in width (unless otherwise specified on the product page). This is not necessarily an exact width, and may have a standard tolerance of up to 2.5%.

Caring for your Oilcloth

All of our oilcloths are made from 100% cotton fabric which has been given a special PVC (Vinyl) coating to give the unique wipe clean and easy care finish.

If you opted for a folded oilcloth, any creases occurring from the shipping of the oilcloth will drop out over time when placed on the table. To speed up this process, the oilcloths can be ironed with a cool iron on the underneath (cotton side) of the oilcloth.

It is recommended that any spillages are wiped away immediately with a damp cloth (dilute soap solution can also be used).  Please be aware that some items may stain your oilcloth if left in contact for any length of time. These include: some tomato based sauces, curry sauces, ball-pen ink, shoe polish or nail varnish. Newspaper print may also transfer onto the cloth if it is still damp from wiping.

The oilcloth can be damaged by hot cooking oil and will not withstand plates or dishes which have come directly from a hot oven being placed directly upon it.

Our oilcloths are great for brightening up your garden table. However, as they are 100% cotton on the underneath, it is recommended that they are not left outside when not in use, to prevent the cotton from getting damp and/or wet which could result in causing damage and deterioration to your oilcloth tablecloth.

Colour matching & shading variances

We endeavour to make all photographs of the oilcloths on our website a true representation to the colour of the fabric. However, all computers & laptops can have different colour settings, and so may show up differently on your screen. If you are unsure about the colour of the oilcloth, we would recommend you use our free sample service. All samples are sent out to UK addresses free of charge, and should be delivered within 2-3 days of being requested.

In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Returns Policy

All of our oilcloth tablecloths are made-to-measure and cut to order, therefore we are unable to accept returns unless there is a manufacturing fault.  The drop down menu sizes are for convenience of ordering and are not ‘stock sizes’.  Please take advantage of our free sample service if you are unsure that the colour and/or design will match your decor.

In the unusual event of a manufacturing fault within the material, please contact us prior to sending any items back. We may ask for an emailed photo of the fabric fault.

Please therefore take extra care when measuring your table, and ensure that you do order enough extra length in the oilcloth for your overhang.

These terms apply to your order. We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply in the future.
