Measuring your Table

Before purchasing your oilcloth tablecloth, you must know how to measure your table correctly. When measuring your table, please remember to allow for the overhang of the wipe clean oilcloth. We recommend that between 15-20cm at each end of the table is ideal for an overhang. You should therefore add 30-40cm onto the length of your table in order to have a perfect sized tablecloth.

 

How To Measure For Any Tablecloth

Below details how to measure a table cloths for round, oval, square, and rectangle tables.

Make sure to consider the oilcloth’s overhang when measuring your table. We recommend adding between 15-20cm at each table end as it’s the ideal length for an overhang. You should add between 30-40 cm onto the length of your table to have a perfect-sized oilcloth tablecloth. Alternatively, you can pick whatever overhang length you want. Just sit at your table on a chair and measure 10cm, 15cm, 20cm, 25cm, and 30cm to see which you prefer. To get the desired overhang, you must double it since a table has four sides.

Square Table

Step 1.

Measure the table’s width and length. (they should be the same!)

Step 2.

Add a minimum of 30cm to allow an overhang of 15cm at each side of your table.

Step 3.

Round Table

Step 1.

Measure the table’s diameter (the distance from one side to the other when you go through the center of the table).

Step 2.

Then add a minimum of 30cm to allow an overhang of 15cm at each side of your table.

Step 3.

Select the design you want to purchase and select the size from the drop-down menu, rounding up or down to the nearest 10cm.

Rectangle Table

Step 1.

Measure the table’s width and length.

Step 2.

Then add at least 30cm to allow an overhang of 15cm at each side of your table.

Step 3.

Select the design you want to order and select the size from the drop-down menu, rounding up or down to the nearest 10cm.

Oval Table

Step 1.

Measure the table’s width and length.

Step 2.

Then add at least 30cm to allow an overhang of 15cm at each side of your table.

Step 3.

Select the design you want to purchase and pick the appropriate rectangle size from the drop-down menu, rounding to the nearest 10cm.
